Love like him
Chpter 1
next chapter previer-
he showed up with a big bruise on his arm and his face..

Guess who?
"Sutton, those guys are checking you out." Well at least I think thats what my bestfriend Dustee just said. We're out our schools final basketball games so it's pretty hard to hear over all ofthe cheering. Plus we're cheerleaders so we shouldn't be paying attention to that anyway!
"What, Dustee?"
"I said those guys were looking at you!" She says pointing to a big group of 4 guys. One of them is looking at her. But they always are. How could they not? She's a size one, perfect beach blonde hair, beautiful smile. Totally different from my size 3 and straight brown hair.
"They're looking at you too!" I say too her, but she already knows that.
When half time comes, we do the usual and go get suckers and a lemonade. The boys walk up to us.
"What are your names?" says the boy in a blue nike sweatshirt, obviously looking at Dustee.
"I'm Dustee," she says,"and this is Sutton." she says pointing to me.
"aaannddd... your names are?" I ask them, looking at the boy in the khaki shorts and red vans on.
"I'm Taylor." says the one in the blue nike sweashirt.
"Colby." says the one with dark curly hair.
"Kameron." says the one with the i heart boobies bracelet on.
"Hollis." Says the one in the red vans.
I keep looking at him but the buzzer goes off for the game to start again before I can say anything to him.
When the game is over we meet back up with the guys.
"There's a party at my friend Deannas house. You guys want to come?" Dustee asks them.
I don't really want to go to the party. I never do. But, as always, she makes me go. But it's better than being home.
My mom is and alchoholic. She's a total b.. itch.
I get my iphone and text my older brother Toby that I might come to his house tonight after the party. He's 19, still in highschool, but he lives with his friend Jake.
We all walk to Deannas house because there's not enough room for us in one car.
When we get there there's already about 10 people who are drunk and high. I hate drinking and smoking. I dont want to be like my mom.
When we get there I go sit on Deannas back patio. I don't want to deal with everybody tonight. I can hear the music pretty good out here. It's not too bad. It's all country music though, but it doesn't matter.
"What are you doing out here?" I look up to see Colby standing there. The boy with dark curly hair. Not the one I had my eye on, but whatever! He's still attractive.
"I don't drink." I Say too him.
"Me either." he says handing me  a bottle of water.
"So why don't you drink?" He asks me.
"I don't drink because my moms an alchoholic. I don't want to walk around treating other people how she treats me. Why don't you drink."
"I go through the same thing, except with my dad. He's a total douchenozzle sometimes."
All in all, the night wasn't too bad.

There ain't no party like a Gatsby party
because a Gatsby party don't stop
until at least two people are dead and
everyone is disillusioned with the Jazz Age
as a whole

Here’s To The Kids.

The kids who would rather spend their night with a bottle of coke and Patrick or Sonny playing on their headphones than go to some vomit-stained high school party. Here’s to the kids whose 11:11 wish was wasted on one person who will never be there for them. Here’s to the kids whose idea of a good night is sitting on the hood of a car, watching the stars. Here’s to the kids who were never too good at life, but still were wicked cool. Here’s to the kids who listened to Fall Out Boy and Hawthorne Heights before they were on MTV and blame MTV for ruining their life. Here’s to the kids who care more about the music than the haircuts. Here’s to the kids who have crushes on a stupid lush. Here’s to the kids who hum “a little less 16 candles, a little more touch me” when they’re stuck home, dateless, on a Saturday night. Here’s to the kids who have ever had a broken heart from someone who didn’t even know they existed. Here’s to the kids who have read The Perks of Being a Wallflower and didn’t feel so alone after doing so. Here’s to the kids who spend their days in photobooths with their best friends. Here’s to the kids who are straight up smartasses and just don’t care. Here’s to the kids who speak their mind. Here’s to the kids who second guess themselves on everything they do. Here’s to the kids who will never have 100 percent confidence in anything they do, and to the kids that are okay with that. Here’s to the kids. This one’s not for the kids who always get what they want, but for the ones who never had it at all. It’s not for the ones who never get caught, but for the ones who always try and fail. This one’s for the kids who didn’t make it, we were the kids who never made it. The overcast girls and the underdog boys. Not for the kids who had all their joys. This one’s for the kids who never faked it. We’re the kids who didn’t make it. They say “breaking hearts is what we do best,” and “we’ll make your heart be ripped out of your chest.” The only heart that I broke was mine, when I got my hopes up too high. We were the kids who didn’t make it.

We are the kids who never made it.
