People see me and they do not notice the ugly, viscous things
that lurk beneath the grass.
They do not notice the discreet tracks of blood, as soil soaks
up quickly.
They do not notice the corpse of my former self, hanging from
the tallest branch of the tallest tree.

how it is slowly swirling down the drain

tucked inside my bed,
whilst these men are fearless
of the night in which they dance

perception and scars my memories, drenching them in sunlight -
