It really upsets me that I'm seeing quotes about how
some schools didn't even have a moment of silence for 9/11, I
live about an hour away from Shanksville (where flight 93 went
down) and it's a big deal in our school, every teacher talked
about it, two class periods where dedicated to it, we had a 5
minute speech done by the principal, as well as a 3 minute moment
of silence. I've heard contless stories about it from
teachers, teachers assistants, and so on, and even though I was
like 2 years old when it happened, and don't remember it, I
feel both overwhelming sadness and overwhelming pride for what
happened. We got screwed over, big time, but we pulled back from
it, people risked their lives, and some died, trying to save the
lives of those in the Twin Towers and the Pentagon.
Please, if you haven't had a moment of silnce for those who
lost their lives, have one now. Think about the people who died,
even if you didn't personally know anyone who did.
Never Forget.
