Best Reading Quotes Ever

when it comes to reading i’m either reading 400 pages a day or taking a month to read 200 there is no in between

I like drinking coffee alone and reading alone. I like riding the bus alone and walking home alone. It gives me time to think and set my mind free. I like eating alone and listening to music alone.

But when I see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend laughing with her best friend, I realize that even though I like being alone, I don't fancy being lonely.

The sky is beautiful, but the people are sad. I just need someone who won't run away.

Seeing someone reading a book you love is like a book recommending a person.
“I just lost your book” they said.
“It’s not like it’s a big deal” they said.
“It’s just a book” they said.
“What are you doing with that axe” they said.

Dear Santa,
I don't want anything for Christmas except for the person reading this to have an amazing Christmas.

He really was beautiful. I know boys aren’t supposed to be, but he was.

"If you find a girl who reads, keep her close.
When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her.
You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you.
She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.
Date a girl who reads because you deserve it."
-Robert Pattinson

you know how people buy drinks for girls in bars? why can't
people do that in Book stores ? Like if i'm looking at a novel
and some person walks up to me and strikes up a
conversation and offers to buy the book for me , there is a
lot better chance of that working out in their favor

I believe books hold the keys to really truly living.

I love to read, anything and everything.

To slip away into a different reality,

One where I can be the spectator or read myself into the pages.

I've been so many places and lived so many lives,

I've seen the world from every angle and point of view.

I've been Traveling through time,

Mastering magic,

Fighting monsters,

Befriending mythical creatures,

Being the hero of everyday life,

Fighting society,

Overthrowing corrupt governments,

Battling diseases,

Vanquishing inner demons,

Falling in love during impossible situations with impossible people,

Facing the struggles of everyday life,

Being a teenager,

Dealing with discrimination,

Doing things in the name of love,

Exploring far off places,

Solving mysteries,

Watching grisly horror scenes play out,

Leading underground societies,

Playing the mad scientist and so much more.

People say it's impossible, to have done all these things.

I just smile, pointing to my overflowing bookshelves and say,

"If you are really quite, you can sometimes hear them whispering their stories, just waiting to be read."
