Dear those I deem 'strangers', Please know that I am tumbling into
a raveen through another road at the end of a corner and which
sometimes takes what seems like 1/6 of my life span. Although every
human being goes through one it seems a thousand more appear at
each path I pave for myself. I exclude you from the few folds of my
frontal cortex as when you create happier memories that will take
over my entirety; the memory of how I seemingly forgot you will
still be etched in the back of your head even when you suffer
dementia and that reassures me of my existance even if its just for
a second.
How stubborn are the scars
when they won't fade away?
Or just a gentle reminder that
now are better days?
Everything was a reminder of him.
The wind was him playing with my hair.
The sky was his eyes. Clear, blue, and kind.
The trees was his smell lingering on our blankets.
The sun was his smile brightening my day.
He left little bits of him everywhere without him even trying.
It makes me wonder if he ever looks at something and thinks of me.
