Social media tells
me
that there has to be a lot going on
while still standing still
constantly moving forward
and documenting that
while drinking thee and doing yoga
But I'm still writing poems
with the soul purpose of getting laid
and while my fitness progresses
so does my waistline because
I started feasting where I used to starve.
there's a lot of loud going on in my life
that I wish stayed quiet,
wispered only to me
I should be the queen of this technology
but I feel more like a servant
so I log out and check into my brain
it's still there
and that should be enough
no hashtag encompasses this passion
no picture captures this disire
and that should be enough

I never liked to be the center of attention
and this fear sort makes
it hard for
me
to navigate social
media
and be 100% comfortable
because I want to be noticed
I want to be heard
because I want to be noticed
I want to be heard
But
I always have a fear
of being judged
and I overthink too much
You can be with
people and still feel ignored and
unimportant
And you can be
by yourself and feel fine
You have
to have a little bit
of confidence when you are
on social media
and not let it get to you
you may not be
the most confident
person
you may be
really insecure and shy
but
you have to be okay
with people
noticing
you
and many
people will be nice
and just find
you interesting and like something
about you
but sometimes,
people can disagree
with you, misunderstand
you, not like you, annoy you, or just be mean and say mean
things
because
they can
and you kind
of have to be
strong
enough to deal with that
and not let it get to you
because
otherwise, it will not be
fun for you
and if social
media is not fun for you and if it does not make
you happy in some
way
why
even use it?
I can never feel comfortable around lots of
people or people I do not know
It always makes me feel uneasy

shopping
But I dread if
there are too many people
or crowds
I do not
mind hanging
out with a few people I

is a problem when
I have to eat
with them
