Soulmates Quotes

"You both are made for each other."

"How do you know?"

"Because you guys don't look at each other with butterflies and happiness. You look at each other with reality but at the same time, there's a fairytale awaiting you."

~ E. Grin

Perhaps there were no soul mates, I thought, and love was neither written in the stars or planned by the gods, but a choice, one built of hope and sweat and blood and trust. Not served on a silver platter by a whim of fate, but something that must be earned and fought for.

                                —Beau Taplin
”

You felt familiar the moment I met you. A lovely sort of déjà vu. When we spoke or laughed or danced I became overwhelmed by the powerful sensation that I had been here before. And when we kissed I felt the energies of a thousand lives on our lips, like our souls had known each other all along.

This is what throws me. The idea that there’s only one person in the entire world you could make a beautiful life with. And that if you don’t find them, or you think you already did and it didn’t work out, that you’re screwed. Maybe I’m a killjoy. Maybe I suck at being romantic. But I actually think the idea of having multiple soulmates you could have met in this world, multiple lives you could have led if just one thing had gone differently on one day – makes it all the more romantic when you do find one of them. When you contemplate the idea that there could be plenty of others out there for you, plenty of people you could have made this work with – but you chose this person, on this day, because you’re willing to make the jump with them.
— Kim Quindlen

Soulmates aren't the ones who make you happiest, no. They're instead the ones who make you feel the most. Burning edges and scars and stars. Old pains and pangs, captivation and beauty. Strain and shadows and worry and yearning. Sweetness and madness and dreamlike surrender. They hurl you into the abyss. They taste like hope.

                        —Victoria Erickson

”

i am trying to tell you
there is no mathematical possibility
for everybody to have a soulmate i'm sorry

some people fit together exactly
like they say they do

and it's hard to explain how their atoms
will never really touch

i am trying

i am trying and this

disappoints me

And then my soul saw you and it kind of went
" oh there you are, i've been looking for you. "
Soul mates?
I think they exsist. Just not always romantically.
I think they're certain people you will meet in your life
who you just connect with more than anyone else
And you just know it isn't a typical thing
and you understand each other perfectly
And this person just always be your "Significant other"
I MEAN IT COULD BE YOUR
Friend or sibling or teacher OR the person you are dating
it could be just about anyone who you've ever interacted with!

You'll have more than one soulmate in life, for there are different ones for different things. There are musical taste soulmates, friend soulmates, let's-get-coffee-together-every-day soulmates, artist soulmates, etc. etc. The romantic soulmate is only one aspect of this notion. Never forget that.

eventually soul-mates meet,
for they have the same hiding place.
