Talent Quotes

People with skills and talent are more valuable than people with money, which is why people with money try as hard as they can to convince everyone else that having money is a virtue. They try to convince the people with skills and talent that skills and talent are minor to worthless so that the people with money can hire them to do their bidding and make the people with skills and talent feel grateful for the opportunity to get paid.

People with skills and talent need to wake up and realize that they don’t need someone else to give them money. Skills and talent are the real source of wealth and prosperity. Skills and talent are what make the world go ‘round.

Money is almost nothing, almost worthless. It doesn’t really exist. It only exists as long as we all agree that it exists for the practical purpose of trading, as a convenient substitute for bartering. Money is incapable of making anything happen except as a means of motivating people with skills and talent to use their skills and talent to make something happen for the benefit of people with money. In a world containing only people with money and no talent or skills, nothing would ever happen, no matter how much money there were.

Skills and talent are real. They exist. They have true value, which is why you can barter your skills for other people’s skills. Skills and talent can make things happen equally well in an environment of billions of dollars or no dollars. Skills and talent are completely independent of money. In a world containing only people with skills and talent and no money, many amazing things would be accomplished, without the involvement, interference, or influence of money.
Anyone who wants to use your skills and talent but doesn’t have any skills or talent of their own to barter in exchange for yours had better give you lots and lots of money for the privilege. It is they who need you, not vice versa.
"There would have been certainly less employee attrition & internal friction, lesser competition creation because of the least number of entrepreneur incubation outside their companies in the market;
if those employers had recruited, recognised, rewarded and retained the right talent at the right position within their organisation at any point of time in any generation."

~Anuj Somany
"A TALENT shines bright till he remains away from the limelight, because under the spotlight the glare of bulb and tube light dims his light."
~Anuj Somany

"People who have known a person for many days but could never spot or appreciate his hidden talent in the first place,
are likely to raise their suspicions on seeing him ever winning laurels in the life’s race."

~Anuj Somany

Hard work beats talent
when talent doesn't work hard.

~ Tim Notke

“If the selection process is right and its members GOOD, then there could be no reason why the collection of the teammates be not BETTER and bright who would work in the BEST interest of the organization, either individually or jointly, to bring sustainability in achieving newer growth height.”
~Anuj Somany

Me: go away. Their personality doesn't affect their talent.

Don't you think there's
something that's way more important
than whether or not you have a talent?
Imagine if all you ever wanted was attainable. You walk into a store and a cluster of acne ridden teenagers stalk a aisle marked desires. Shelves upon shelves hold compact white cans, all with discreet labels reading off things like "beauty" and "self-acceptance". "Talent" is in high demand.

And then one day, whilst reading the newspaper, you notice a story about a girl - a mere seventeen years old - who had overdosed on beauty. Her name was Catherine. and she had died in her bedroom, surrounded by a city of confidence and charisma.
You read that only beauty was found in her bloodstream, and then you think about what a beautiful corpse she will be.

Imagine if everything you ever wanted was attainable, and then it ended up killing you.
I just realized that I have no special talent whatsoever. I do things, but I'm not good at them.

I like to make art, but I have a friend who's amazing at it.
I like to play sports, but I have a friend who excels in every sport she tries.
I like to play guitar and ukulele, but I have two friends who are awesome at both.
I like to sing, but one of my friends seriously has the voice of an angel.
I like to think I'm smart, but I have friends who are so much smarter than I am.

Sometimes I just feel like there's nothing out there for me, you know? Like I'll never be able to find something that I'm good at.
