i was dealing with some very serious family stuff and haven't been on in a while

When you give someone your vulnerability and intimacy and they give theirs in return and don't immediately run after 'scoring' at 'home plate' you know you've got something real.
I'm a senior right now (three weeks from graduation!!) and I've been in a few failed relationships where I was just on the giving, and not receiving, end of love. The first messed me up really badly, but after the second I realized it wasn't all me-- that actually, most of it wasn't. I'm an extremely passionate, loving person who gives nothing short of their all when I care about somebody, and not everyone is going to understand or appreciate that. And that's alright. Because I'm so close to leaving high school and starting a new chapter in my life, I'm fine with being alone while I focus on bettering myself and enjoying the other, non-romantic aspects of life. And when I do find someone, it will have been worth the wait. Just like it was for you.
