Hey ladies;

so listen. my name is nicole, and i've had a witty account since I was in 6th grade.
right before I left 2 years ago, I was somewhat popular on witty, with several top quotes
and lots of  friends. i'm much older now, and this year I will start my senior year of high
school. several months ago, I went on witty profiles for the first time in years and I was
genuinely disappointed. I saw so much hate; girls expressing themselves and then getting told
the quote "wasn't theirs". girls hating on each others' favorite bands and movies. girls
criticizing each other constantly. I had already read the majority of these quotes on
tumblr and the lack of originality was clear. today, I came back on for the first time.
I read through some top quotes and regained all my respect for this website and what
it stands for. despite the occasional one direction quote (no worries, I like them too),
I can see originality again. a lot of the things you girls have posted really touched me. this
website has always been a place for us to come and vent or celebrate and I'm happy
to see it this way again. this is long and you guys might never see it, but I just
wanted to thank you all. you ladies have given me hope again. 
 

dear witty;
i never do this. ever. but now i'm begging you ladies. so this might 
sound a little stupid to some of you, but i'm going to put it out there anyway. i really want my dad to paint my room 

bright purple.

he thinks it's a terrible idea. however, i've explained to him how witty works, and so maybe if i can get at least 80 favs on this, he'll let me paint my room neon purple - my favorite color :)
