No, no, no, sorry! That's wrong! I mean I'd love for it to be true, too, but it's not. At all.

These two Supreme Court decisions are all that occurred. Neither have anything to do with making it legal in all states.
We havent won, not yet. This is only a start. We have to fight for social (and frankly economical in the grand scheme of things) as well. Under the law, we've won the right to marry who we love. But that won't stop others from trying to ruin us every step of the way. We've made an accomplishment, but we haven't won. It will be a long, long time before we win.
*oh and its not legal in all states, the article I read said the supreme court battle was against only Cali.*
if G Christie doesn't get voted out ill punch someone bcos he's making NJ look bad bcos "we recognize some sh///it called civil union but not marriage"
I really, really hate to burst your bubble here because I would absolutely LOVE for it to be legal in all 50 states, but that isn't what happened.
They ruled that in states where it already is legal, the state government has to recognize same- marriages and grant them the same rights as a "regular" married couple.
I'm not entirely sure if they overruled Prop 8 here in California, but considering all my friends are posting on Facebook about it, I think they did, so that would mean the only new state where same- marriage is legal is California. :/

You're going to say Wikipedia is outdated? I'm pretty sure it isn't...

America finally did something right.
