If you really knew
me...
If you really knew me, you would know that I don't know what being truly happy feels like anymore. If you really knew me, you would know the scars on my wrist aren't from my cat, because I don't even have a cat. There from the self harm I've been inflicting on myself for over a year now. If you really knew me, you would know that I am unhappy with the person I've become. I hate the way I look, and the way I act. If you really knew me, you would know I've thought about suicide before, but something stopped me. I don't really know what though. If you really knew me, you would know that everyone I have ever trusted have showed me a reason why I shouldn't have. You would know that I'm searching for the person I want to be. If you really knew me, you would know that I don't get along with my dad at all. You would know that I'm afraid to be alone in the same room as him. We always end up fighting. If you really knew me, you would know that I don't think I'll ever find someone who loves me for who I am. Who accepts me even with my insecurities, scars, and flaws. If you really knew me, you would know that I'm quickly losing hope in our society. If you really knew me, you would know that I think I'm developing an eating disorder because of the high standards that society has set for teens now a days. If you really knew me, you would know that I just need someone to give me hope, and to help me get through the day.
Look inside that girl over there.
Inside her, you'll see a girl
who's experienced heartbreak, experienced disappointment,
and has been
living a lie.
But, if you really look inside her,
you'll see someone who has lived through that
heartbreak,
who has overcome that
disappointment, and who is finally noticing
that
not everything is a lie. ♥

Missing You♥
(Part 8)
By the time Marilyn got to my house I had put away my new work
clothes, showered, and gotten into to some comfy black sweats
from Aeropostale. I had also ordered Chinese food for
us. While I wait, I decide to go into the living room and
see if there are any new movies for us to rent OnDemand. As
I'm doing that, I hear Marilyn's car pull up into my
drive way, and hurry up to open the front door.
"Rylen! Oh my gosh, how you have been?! We
haven't seen each other in forever!"
"Marilyn, we saw each other two weeks ago!"
"Oh, that's right... I'm a little out of sorts
lately, don't know why."
"Well, I hope you're hungry, I ordered some Chinese food
and I figured we'd just rent a movie, and stuff like
that."
"Sounds good to me! Boy, I have so much to tell
you!"
After she puts her weekend bag in the guest room she comes into
the kitchen to help get plates for the Chinese which had arrived
shortly after she did. We ate and caught up with a bunch of
small talk, and then, as we finishing dinner, she said she had
some big news concerning her and her long time boyfriend
Chandler. At first I though it was something bad, but the
smile on her face gave it all away, it was obviously good
news.
"Me and Chandler are engaged!"
"Oh my gosh, no way!"
"Yes. He proposed two nights ago when we went on that
river cruise together. We were eating a candle light dinner
when all of a sudden he got out of his chair and then got down on
one knee. It was romantic!"
"That's so cute!" As I say it, I begin to
clear the dishes so she wouldn't see the look on my
face. Well, it didn't work.
"What's wrong Rylen?"
"Don't get me wrong, I'm so beyond happy for you,
but I just miss Jake so much..."
"Awh, honey I know you do. I miss him too. I
promise you though, that Chandler and I are not getting married
until he can be here too."
"It's just so hard, I miss him like crazy. We try
to talk at least once a week, but sometimes he's just so
busy."
"I know baby, I know. He'll be back in less than
two years though, just let that keep you going, and aren't
you going to visit in like a month or so?"
"Yeah, and I positively can't wait. It's going
to be so great to see him again."
Two months down, twenty two more to go...
Sorry it took so long guys! I'm going to try and write more
often, so keep checking for updates!
2-3 updates before the next one! ♥
Being a teenager ;
Being a teenager is all about
growing up. Learning to become
[independent], and [confident] in ourselves. It's
about knowing who to trust, and who not to trust.
It's about living life, and not being caught up on that
one boy. It's about finding your
♥real friends♥. It's about learning
that sometimes, life isn't going to go your way.
It's about knowing when the chase is and isn't worth
it. Being a teenager is hard, but what we learn in the
next five years, will stay with us (forever). When we
were younger, all we wanted to do was {grow up}, to have
responsibility. Now, as that responsibility becomes to
much, we wish to be younger again. When drama was when
someone stole your cookie at lunch. When we got to nap
after lunch, and boys still had //cooties.\\ Now,
we're stuck with classes all day, and drama is when someone
stole your boyfriend. We hate people we don't even
know, because we judge them. Rumors get around faster
than the truth.
That's being a teenager, are you ready?
