When my mom picked me up she was asking about what's wrong and I was telling her. Then I included that some of my friends noted how I looked sick and terrible. Then my mom said it was because of my clothes. "You dress so drab and I don't understand why you wear sweaters and hats. It's almost summer," she said. She said that her friends ask me if I'm okay because I look like a 'depressing mess'. She said that if I have a problem then I should just go to therapy. Naturally I said that I'm fine because my mom is one of the most judgemental people I know.
But why the hell should I care about what my mom thinks of my aprearance? And who's my mom to assume that I'm so depressed just because I dress "too drab"?
