The only problem is that it would mess up the economy. More money would have to be produced, and the dollar would lose its value. There are SO many soldiers who are often too busy to spend a lot of money anyway, unless they're on liberty or retired. Then, if they die, their family would receive the money they had. Which will be a lot. And soon enough, a lot of people in America would be rich.
Don't get me wrong; I think soldiers deserve FAR more attention than professional athletes. My brother is a Recon Marine. But to say the deserve to be paid more than professional athletes is asking for a LOT of money for the soldiers.
i totally agree! i'm a huge sports fan but they get paid RIDICULOUS amounts of money! i forget who it was and how much the amount was, but my dad said a sports guy got millions of dollars JUST for a having a meeting about MAYBE switching teams
oh my goodness some of you people are just.... :X; NO ONE ever said the soldiers want money. she clearly said that they should get paid more. obv for the ones serving, it is about serving. we are just sayingggggg they deserve way more.
yeah pbviously but it's not about the money for yhe, AND its not quite as simple as that cause the money has to come from somewhere and companies pay big money for professional atheletes just to wear there shoes.. unfortunately its not reeally one of those things that you can just switch up.. unless someones willing to donate some $$ ?
That's what I've been thinking...same thing with Doctors. Soldiers are the only reason famous athletes have the right to do the things they do. They're fighting for our independence, yet baseball players get paid to hit a ball with a bat, basketball players get paid to put a ball through a hoop, etc, while there are soldiers risking their lives for ours and doctors who are saving peoples lives, so i think doctors&soldiers should get paid more, because they do a hell of a lot more then athletes.
