People always ask me why I read so much. I read because it's my escape. It's how I've managed to survive so long. Getting lost in characters' emotions, the adventure, romance, embarrassment, anger, it disconnects me from my own problems. Of course, they're the problems like when a character dies, you develop crushes on the male characters, the book series ends, you're grounded from books, etc. I read because I like it.
I like him. I don't know why. All my friends think I'm crazy. He's 15, drinks on the weekends, and probably does weed. Maybe I like him because he's the only one in my whole school who has never looked at me in dusgust, or said a mean word to me. Even my friends have done that, but not him. Maybe it's because he can make me laugh when I just want to die. Maybe it's because he looks at me from across the room and there's something in his eyes, I don't know what, that gives me hope. He's not my boyfriend, or even a close friend. I don't know why I like him. I just do.
