While I love this song, I find these lyrics so silly in their falsehood and in their masquerading as wise bits of advice. ''Thunder only happens when it's raining'' -- sometimes thunder is heard before the storm, indicating its imminent arrival. ''Players only love you when they're playing'' -- players don't love you at all, hence why they're players. Honestly, Stevie could learn a thing or two from me.
