i remember when: boys were mean to girls and it meant they liked

i remember when:
boys were mean to girls
                           and it meant they liked them.
boys had cooties.
boys and girls were caught
                                hanging out and instantly became
boyfriend and girlfriend.
i was that girl who all the 
                              boys were mean to.
i was the girl with cooties 
                             for hanging out with the boys.
& i was the girl trying to 
                         hang out with you so we would get  
teased about what i wanted to become
                                                     REALITY!
i miss those days!
