Well, the summer quickly sped by, and school started. I had became pretty good friends with Brett, and needless to say, I was estatic. First day of school I woke up extra early to make my hair perfect and my makeup ideal. The whole time I kept thinking "Would Brett like this?" Although I had laid my outfit out weeks before, I changed it more times than I could count.I had to look absolutely amazing. After all, Brett hadnt seen me in anything other than shinpads and ponytails in months! I ended up missing the bus and my mom had to drive me in. On the way, I nervously looked over my schedule. Not only was it my first day of high school, but it was also my first day of JV practice! I had made the team, barely, and I was nervous for practice. I guess I looked as nervous as I was because my mom kept asking me if I was okay. Once I stepped into the huge school, I met up with my friends and went about my normal day. However, every passing class that had an absence of Brett made my mood dwindle. By the last period, I was ready to cry, which sounds stupid I know.How can I go all year without seeing him? They screamed ideal couple. I tugged on my blonde hair, tears welling up. I was SO stupid.How could I even consider Brett, the guy everyone loves, who has an amazing girlfriend to like me. I felt betrayed, angry, and sad. But most of all I felt naive and stupid.

"She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out.
