I spot the prsent table, which looks like a rich kids Christmas, but keep the small box holding the big diamon in my pocket. This present is going to be hand delivered. Blake P.O.V I quickly change from my entrance dress into my dancing dress. Its short and black with cut outs on my back. Sexier. I make my way back to the party and talk to everyone I pass. I dance with boys that ask, which is about every guy I pass. But finally I see Brayden. Just in time actually, for a slow song. I wish I was in one of my more dressy gowns. Whatever. We slow dance, and I put my head on his chest. "I love you." I whisper. I'm not ready to give this up ; I'm not ready to die. "I love you, too. Always have, always will." He says quietly. I look up at his face, "Come with me." He says seriously. I take his hand and he leads me through the crowd to the out to the big garden. "Look, we've had our tough times, but I can't be without you. And for your birthday, I'm kind of asking you to give me something." He says quietly. My jaw drops when he drops to one knee. "Brayden." I say. He pulls out a box and opens it to reveal a beautiful diamond ring, "Will you marry me?" He asks. I start to cry, I put my hand to my mouth and nod, "Yes." I say. He smiles and puts the ring on my finger. I want to be his wife forever, but it won't last. It can't, because of a mistake I was stupid enough to make. If it wasn't for me, wanting to play basketball with her, she wouldn't be going through this. It was already four days, and she hasn't woken up. On the fifth day, I saw her eyes gently open. "Kelsey?" I called. She wasn't quite awake yet. Suddenly, doctors came rushing in, telling me I had to wait outside. I did, for a few hours. One of the doctors finally came out saying, "I understand that you're Kelsey's friend, Aaron?" "Yes," I whispered. He bit his lip. "She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out. Instead, she looked me straight in the eyes, and whispered, "I don't know you, but I like your eyes."
