Hi! I'm Emi24601, also known as Emily or "that insane girl who can't get her nose out of a book." (I take the latter as a compliment. :D) I'm fourteen and a soon-to-be-sophomore. As for my current place of residency, I live in the U.S., but I wish I lived in England; I want socialized healthcare, a British accent, and a silly hat. Despite my Anglophile-ish tendencies, I find American politics fascinating, and am a hardcore mini Democrat. I can't wait until I'm old enough to vote! Some of my other interests include reading, writing, drawing, band, philosophy, drama, and debate team. However, what I'm most passionate about is modern classic literature: Louisa May Alcott, Rachel Carson, Henry David Thoreau, Jane Austen, George Orwell, and Victor Hugo are my heroes. (If you don't know who they are, what are you doing here, still reading this? Sally forth to your local library and delve into their works at once. I cannot stress this enough.) As a result, I have too many fictional character crushes to name, but my most current and notable are Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice and Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm not a complete book snob, though; I am a hopelessly obsessed Harry Potter fangirl. Lastly, I also love music; A Fine Frenzy, Mika, Lenka, Vampire Weekend, Owl City, Coldplay, and the Beatles are among my favorite artists.
