i think it should be fourteen. i had a boyfriend when i was 12. big mistake because we knew nothing. it lasted for like two weeeks, it ended in me thinking i was so heart broken, and a little kid doesnt need that. then two years later when i was fourteen i got my second boyfriend, and it ended up being way better, less awkward just overall better.!

well, im 15 and my mom said i can have a bf till 16. but ive had 3 already, i think its best for u to tell her that u think u r mature enough to handle a relationship, and that she can trust u to make good decisions, own up to them.

I'm fourteen and I've only had one bf and it didn't last long. I honestly think dating in middle school is a waste of time and more then half of the relationships don't last more then a month. My brother got his first girlfriend around ninth grade and it lasted until his senior year. I seriously think kids now need to stop trying to grow up too fast. I know so many people in my grade that have already had and they're only 13-14, which I think is disgusting and way too rushed. I think your mom is just trying to save you from more drama and to help you realize you might be growing up too fast.(: Hope this helped. -Alyssa
