Well, first, if he admitted to cheating on Lindsey that's a step in the right direction. Most guys wouldn't admit it, so the guilt is either eating him alive or he just feels bad about it and wants to be honest.
The fact that he broke down over the phone when you asked him if he cheated on you with any of girls shows that he still has feelings for you. He doesn't want you to think lowly of him and it seems like he misses you.
Obviously because you dated for a year there is always going to be something there and the fact that you just sat and talked for three hours shows you guys have chemistry.
I say give him one more chance. Especially if you still have feelings for him. Hope I helped! Let me know if you need anything else.
