"Uhmm..hi.." I said shakily.
I looked out and saw the whole crowd staring at me.
"Most of you know me as the girl that moved from New York.  I havn't really gotten the chance to talk to all of you, but the ones I have talked to, have really changed my life.  When I was 3 years old, my dad joined the marines.  There are very few times when I get to see him, or even talk to him.  He didn't even come home for Chrictmas this year, but I love him more than anything.  I have had a lot of rough patches in my life, some that I am still going through today.  But I have people who love and care about me that are helping me through.  A lot of you saw me run today.  Running is my first, and favorite sport.  Running is something i'm good at, but it is something I do far too often.  I run from my fears, I run from my problems, and sometimes, I even run from myself.  But eventually you learn that running doesn't solve anything, because whatever you're running from, it chases you.  In my life, I have always been able to run faster than everyone, and everything.  But there is always one thing that beats me everytime.  No matter how fast I run, or how far I go.
Because the only thing that runs faster than me,
is MASCARA."
I just realized that New Years eve is on the 31st..and this is taking place on the 30th..oh well.(;
