~ Chapter 6 ~
Belle's P.O.V
"Mum!" I yell. She turns around and looks at me sadly, her cheeks streaked with tears.
"What happened?" I whisper.
"Nothing that was anybody's fault. There was a faulty phone charger plugged in. The firemen say it happens all the time. I heard it before, I just never thought anything of it." She says.
A fireman walks up just as Louis reaches my side.
"We've managed to put out the fire, but you'll need to stay somewhere else for a while." He says. My mum nods.
"I take it you're insured?" He asks. She nods again.
"Well, there were a few rooms that weren't badly damaged. If you want you could come back in a few hours, when the smoke's gone, and see if there is anything you could salvage and keep?" He says.
I nod. "Where's Molly and dad?" I ask.
"They've gone to the insurance company. I waited here for you."
I nod again. "Where are we going to stay?"
"We could stay at your aunt's?" She says, though it cam ot more like a question.
"Um, Belle could stay with me?" Louis suddenly says. I jump as I'd completely forgotten he was even here.
I smile. "Really?" My aunt has never liked me very much and I think in the amount of time we would have to stay with her, it would be a bit awkward.
"Sure. We'll come back in a few hours to see if we can get some of your stuff." I hug him and he rests his chin on my head.
"Thank you." I whisper. I really don't deserve him.
"No problem." Just then, my dad and Molly pull up. I hug thm when they get out and then say my goodbyes.
"Where are you going?" Molly asks.
"I'm going to stay with Louis." I reply. she nods and then sits down on the ground.
"Bye guys." I say, before climbing back into Louis' car.
The car ride was silent.
