Hit and Run
chapter 6
I was at the softball tournaments. Eating sunflower seeds and talking with some friends. I was on my 4th bag of seeds. For some reason I was having one of those days that was full of sentimental moments. I sat and laughed at the jokes we made.We all got up for some sodas.
"I'll have the-" I began
"Dr Pepper." A voice finished behind me. It was that familiar voice that sent chills down my spine. I froze in my place and my friends stared at me.
I turned around to see a familiar looking cowboy behind me. He smirked when he saw the look on my face.
"Jason!" I squealed and leaped into a hug.
"Almost ten years huh, Wild?"
"Wake up, Klisty!" I heard Bryce say
I opened my eyes and found myself in Kylie's kitchen.
"You passed out. You started crying and then passed out. Who's Jason?" Bryce asked
"Um..." I said and looked at Paige. Paige's eyes widened. "An old friend." I answered
"You were talking about him while Bryce carried you back." Kylie said. And handed me some water and crackers.
"I don't need any crackers." I said.
"Eat them or no more zombie killing." Kylie said.
Reluctantly, I ate them. I pulled out my phone to call my mom.
"Klisty? Klisty, honey, I found a shot soldier who was protecting the house. Someone missed the zombie and shot him. I'm on my way to the hospital." My mom said
"Mom! Don't-" I yelled into the phone.
"I have to go." She said in a frantic voice. "Just remember that I-" she said And then we were cut off.
"Where is she?" Paige asked
"We have to get to the house. Right now. I said."
