I have had experienced a similar downslide - still am, though with much improvement. Its tough, so very tough to have problems of any shape and size and having to set aside because of your duties. But it is real and must not be disregarded.
Your falling in school is not because you are dumb, you are troubled. You need time to recover, to find things that make you happy and keep your mind off all the negativity around you. It's not easy to get back on track at all. I had spent 4 years being miserable. But I've overcame and progressed, continue to as well. Trust yourself, even if it is troublesome. Talk to people. Watch, read, see, do positive things. The little things bring healing.
I'm sorry you have a messed-up (excuse my term) family, I hope your planets will realign and you will have peace. I wish you all the best. Remember, through this all NEVER ever allow yourself to underestimate your abilities.

Thank you so much for caring to comment! Things have not changed much really... in fact, the situation with my former best friend has gotten bad. But, at least, my grades are getting better. I just needed a day's rest, which I got, and I dropped out of another stressful activity so I'm feeling better as a student now.
