A Heartless Winter
chapter 1

“Finally nineteen, I dreamed of this day forever. I’m not just starting off to be an adult when everyone looks at you with insecurity but in my second year_” I thought to myself being interrupted by a crowd of family singing and looking at me carrying a burning cake.
                “Happy Birthday too you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Kate, happy birthday to you. Blow out the candles!” everyone sang.
                Blowing as fast as I could to get out of there and see Angela. “Thanks everyone but I think I should getting going. I have a huge exam tomorrow and Angela is waiting for me at the library, you know her always getting into trouble she probably got herself kicked out already.” faking a smile as I grab my book bag. I blew a kiss to everyone and walked out the door. I got into my car and called Angela, no answer. The whole drive I tried calling her still no answer. When I pulled up to the library it was pitch black inside but a burning candle they always left on. I opened the door hoping Angela planned a surprise party but no one popped out scream surprise. Not even Angela.

~ This is the first story i wrote in a long time. I've always liked  writing but Im not really good.
