Going Nowhere
Chapter 4
Lyla's P.O.V
Tahlia walked up to me, Emily and Britney, applying a sparkly, glossy fresh layer of lip gloss to her lips, and puckered them.
"So...Lyla," she said, putting her lip gloss in her pocket.
"You never really reserved that seat for anyone. No one sat next to you. Why did you lie to me?"
I cringed. "Well," I started off. "Why are you trying to be so popular?"
Emily rolled her eyes and nodded. "So true, Lyla. Look, Tahlia, you do know my boyfriend cheated on me with you?" she shouted.
Britney agreed immediately, while I gaped at Emily, my mouth wide open in shock.
"No one told me that," I muttered.
"Um, hello Lyla? I found out last night. Don't get too worked up over it." Emily said.
"Oh..I guess I should be more calm," I mumbled.
"H-How did you know?" Tahlia stammered in amusement.
"Your plan totally backfired," Britney snickered. "You're not becoming the popular girl you always wanted to be."
"In fact, you're the opposite," giggled Emily.
We all started to laugh, except for Tahlia.
She was so angry, she was raging.
"You vicious girls! My plan was going alright, but you wrecked it! Britney, for telling Emily that Dean cheated on her, Emily for being the victim, and Lyla for knowing my plan and letting everything get into my way! I'm off! I'll come up with Plan B, as soon as I think of it!" she stormed off.
We all giggled.
"She's totally going nowhere," I said, lowering my voice to a whisper.
Then Britney finally spoke up.
"Guys, I've worked out I've been a bit unfair and mean," she said shyly.
"I'll try stop that get into my way, it's been putting me so off lately."
Then Emily winked. "Remember Lyla how you said it didn't seem like we weren't besties anymore? Well now we are. We'll always stick up for each other, have sleepovers, slumber parties, meetings, get togethers, and we will do everything together. We'll all be fair, and none of us are going to be traitors in the future, right?"
We all nodded in agreement.
My besties were finally back.
