Witty, I need help..

Me and this guy who is my best friend have been talking for almost four years. We met online and he lives in Kansas,while I live in New Hampshire. We had crushes on each other and we dated online. Then in summer 2011 we met in real life. We dated and all but when he left we still dated.. And christmas 2011 he came back up. We still dated and stuff but kinda fighted.. Summer 2012 he told me he wanted to date and when he came up he didn't want to because of all the fighting. He recently just visited last week. We are best friends and we tell each other everything.. He flirted a lot with me while he was here though. I am head over heels for this guy but it breaks my heart because he doesn't feel the same. He gives me mixed signals though.. He acts like he likes me but I don't know.. All my friends think he has feelings for me because if he didn't he wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars to come out and see me.. I honestly don't know what to do or how to move on because I truly love him. Please respond and help me, I appreciate it a lot. Thank you so much -hayle
