Broken

  Chapter One

 Slowly, I lifted my head from my pillow. My mascara was smeared all over the pillow case. My hair was messy, and my homework was thrown all over the floor, along with my phone.

And then, I looked at my alarm clock. It said: 8:37 a.m. I WAS GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!

As I threw the covers off my legs, I ran over to my closet, and quickly tore the clothes that I was going to wear off the hangers, and ran into the bathroom. (http://www.polyvore.com/untitled/set?id=28502056) Today, my makeup wasn't the best, but I had to hurry.

When I was done, I ran downstairs, and popped in a piece of toast in the toaster. To my surprise, my mom came in the kitchen, wearing her pajama's.

"Mom, don't you have work today?"

My mom set down her coffee mug, and said, "No hunny, why would I? It's Saturday."

"Huh? I thought it was Friday..."

"No."

"Ohh..."

Now I felt stupid, and looked stupid. When the toast popped up, I buttered it, and quickly gobbled it up.

"Samantha, are you feeling alright?" My mother asked. "I went in your room last night, and it looked as if you were crying. What happened?"

Oh great. Isn't it bad enough I had to deal with it, and now I had to explain what happened all over again? It would just make me feel more pain.

"Well..." I stopped, and a single tear ran down my face. "Danny broke up with me." Then I burst out crying, once again.

"Crybaby!" My ten year old brother called from across the hall. I looked down at him.

"Shut up Jackson!" The I turned back to mom. "Mom! Make him leave me alone!"

Then mom said, "Jackson, go to your room! NOW!" Jackson stuck his tongue out at me, and mumbled "Brat." Under his breath.

"Oh Samantha, I'm sorry. I never liked him much any ways." She picked up her coffee mug, and put it in the sink. "Why don't you go to the mall with Ashley?"

I suddenly got angry. "I hate Ashley!" I burst out, and ran into my room, slamming the door behind me.
