Don't Trust Her 6

The classes went by almost too fast. History was a breeze that it usually was and same with science. Math was actually easy today! But at 4th period, I did my usual routine around the lunchroom. I stood in line for about 7 minutes waiting to get something super disgusting that it probably would end up moving on my plate. But today they had pizza, REAL PIZZA. Not the plastic kind. I walked over to where I usually sit, by the window facing the busy street. But then I remembered, this is a chance to become popular. I had to sit by Jessica, Lisa, and Claire. Their table was always in the middle of the room. And you can never walk by there and not be ridiculed by them. But today was a change.
"Hey," I said as I took a seat at their table.
"No don't sit there, that is Claire's seat." Jessica smirked.
"Oh sorry." So I sat down across from Jessica.
"so Trinity," she smirked, "how have you been."
     "Umm, good. How about you?"
     "Awesome," Jessica replied.
"Hey are we still going to the mall today?" Lisa said. Jessica gave her a dirty look and then kicked her shin.
"Umm, sorry. Well, I guess we sort of have to invite you because now you know." Jessica said.
      "ok then, what time?"
     "Right after school."
"Ok." I shrugged. I reached for a piece of my pizza and started munching.
"What are you doing?" Claire asked.
"What does it look like I am doing. I am eating." I replied.
     "Why?" Lisa asked.
"To obtain nutrition to my body." I replied. Darn it. I sound like a nerd. I saw Lisa roll her eyes and quickly look away. And Jessica did the same.
"So Claire what's up?" I asked.
"Nothing really today after school I am going to go dress shopping."
"For what, is prom coming up?"
"Of course it is. IT is marked on all of our calendars." Lisa replied.
"Who are you girls going to go with?" I asked. As soon as that slipped out of my mouth, I new something was going to go wrong with Jessica. Her eyes started to water up and her face started to get red.
Don't Trust Her 5

The weekend soon turned into the dreaded Monday. And if people know me, I like to just watch tv and relax on the weekend. Well, I guess I enjoy hanging out with my friends, but they are just like me. They enjoy their alone time.

But today at school something felt different. People looked at me weirdly. Were they there when they spilled the icee all over me? But not everyone could have been there.

"Hey Trinity." My eyes beginning to bulge and the one person that I thought despised me the most actually said hey. "What's up?"

"Don't take this the wrong way Jessica, but ,umm, I don't know how to put this, but why are you talking to me?" I said.

"Why, did you think that you dating my ex-boyfriend would make me mad at you?" Jessica replied. "You must be serious! Here, hows about we hang out sometime, like over the weekend."

     "Umm, sure." I was scared.

"Oh and you mind as well meet my other friends," She called her friends. "Ok so this is Lisa," and there stood a tall blondie who actually had natural blonde hair. It was wavy like mine and bright blue eyes. "And this is Claire," Claire had dark, dark crown hair and hazel eyes. She was probably the nicest out of them and was the shortest (around my height) "So how about you sit by use at lunch?"

     "Ok yeah I will."

"Good. Well I got to get to some lame class now. See ya." Jessica waved and turned around into the wind.

     "See ya, bye"

"What was that?" And behind me, probably listening on the whole conversation was Paige. Paige Davis was probably the closet thing I had to a sister. She was always there through think and thin. We had this connection that lasted through all the crap going on through the school. Paige had hazel eyes with chocolate brown hair. She was also a little shorter than me. But she had all the zest that I had.

     "Oh the thing with Jessica."

     "Yeah"

"Oh well she wanted to hang out with me."

"Oh, take this chance. We could actually become popular!"

"Is that all you care about popularity? ... Oh who am I kidding ok I'll do this."

"Good than lets go. We are going to miss World History."

"Ok." We ran down the hallways trying to get to our next class before the bell.

"Trinity, wait," Tyler reached for my hand. But I ran quickly away from the movie theater. There was a girls bathroom to the right of the hall way so I ran into there. I locked myself into the small little stall and leaned against the wall silently crying. It felt like sensitivity took over my body for that first few minutes. When I felt strong enough, I took a pile of toilet paper and walked out of the stall. Thank god that the bathroom was clear of any people besides me. I ran the toilet paper under the water and started washing some of the stains off of my purple shirt. I have to admit, the red stains made an awesome effect on the shirt. But I had to get it out. My mom would kill me if she saw the tragedy of the red icee all over me.

I was almost finished with cleaning my hair up when someone came in. I ran to the stall I was in when I first came into the bathroom. There was a huge red print from my back on the tile wall.

"Trinity." Tyler entered the girls bathroom panting, "I know you are hiding in here." He knocked on the each door. When he got to my stall I slowly opened it. His tan face made me feel horrible and sad and I felt that I didn't deserve someone like him. He tstarted inching closer to my body. I backed away.

"No. Don't hug me. You'll get all red and icee-ish," I said.

"I don't care," He looked me straight in the eyes, "I'm here to comfort you. I mean these things don't usually happen.  But when they do I am there for you. Okay?"

"Ok fine," I reached for a hug.

"You act like nothing got on me. I got some icee on me."

"Oh sorry about that," I smiled.

"Thanks. Now we just have to get you home." He took of his sweater and placed it over my shoulders, "Now we have to run to my car and leave as fast as possible. I know you would probably super embarrassed if someone from school saw you."

"Yupp, I would be super embarrassed." We ran out of the movie theater as quickly as possible and ran to the black car in front of the parking lot. He drove me all the way home. And I was super upset to leave him. My friends would have just left me in the bathroom alone, so I would be forced to figure things on my own.

As soon as I walked in the door, my mom asked, "What happened to you."

And being the girl I am I replied,"Stuff"

"It will be all right," Tyler said. And I hoped that he was right,"to get you mind off of it, now that we are dating what do you want to do on tomorrow?"

     "We'll I don't know want to go see a movie?" I suggested.

"Sure, what ever movie you would want to see."

     "Cool."

"Ok, I will pick you up tomorrow at 4."

"Awesome." We split apart to walk home. He went to the right and I walked towards the left. "Bye."

     "Bye Trinity," Tyler waved.

The next day Tyler was at the door at 4:00 precise. He had a black car in the background.

     "Hey," He smiled.

"Hey, let me go get my purse and I will be there in a second." I replied. I ran up the stairs to my room leaving Tyler in the background. I grabbed my black "leather" bag and my pack of gum. My wallet was lodged in my pocket along with my cell phone. I ran back down the stair way and jumped into his hug. We walked down the side walk into the car.

When we got there, there seemed to be no good movies playing. Feeling like the childish teen I am I mention "How about we see Yogi Bear.

You know, it was a funny movie, but it would have been way better if I was still 8. It got really boring and all. And I began to feel tired. I put my head on Tyler's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around the back of my neck. This made my whole day better. Plus this made the date comfortable.

"Take this Trinity." I looked up to the next higher level of seats behind us and there was a face behind sunglasses. The girl must have been at least 12ft higher. And she dumped a red icee and all of her popcorn on to me.

"Ahhh, what the hell is your problem!" I looked up and heard laughter coming from all sides from me. My eyes started to water up. And I was sticky all over, with popcorn stuck in my hair. I started to silently cry. I put my hands against my face.

"Are you ok?" Tyler tapped my shoulder,"Do you want my to drop you back to your house?"

"Of course I do. Can you not see me completely humiliated?" I blurted out. I ran into the bathroom. I felt like a complete idiot.

"Urg" She stomped her way out of the hallway at Lawson High School.

"I'm sorry that happened to you." I reached for his hand to help me get up. "Is it true about what you said?"

     "Well, yeah." He started blushing.

"Oh," I started blushing really badly. I can feel the smile being forced upon my face.

"Yeah, I would rather date you that Jessica. The only reason why I said yes to her was because my friends said I would get lucky."

"Did you get 'lucky'?" I was holding my laugh in as hard as possible. I knew that he was serious about the whole thing. He usually have a bright wide smile on his face. But today it was upside down.

"No. She tried to pressure me into 'doing things', but I said no. She even tried to take my shirt of when I said no. She has some bad issues."

     "Oh. I would've never guessed."

"Well... To get to the point, will you go out with me? I mean I know that it's on very short notice, so I understand if you say no."

"Sure why not?" I smiled. We locked hands and walked down the hallway towards the stairs leading out of the school. I looked back through the hallway to see Jessica, with all of her popular friends. Jessica was sobbing while her friends gave me the stink eye. This means that all my chances of being popular just disintegrated in mid air.

"What's wrong?" Tyler asked. His brown eyes staring right at me.

"Do you think they will want revenge?"

"I don't know for sure. Jessica was not the nicest person and I don't think that she would go that far. But I have never seen her this upset."

"Did she ever tell you that she loved you?"

"Umm ..." He thought hard for a second. "I don't know."

"Oh." I turned my head back at the girls. Jessica was wiping off her tears. And I suddenly felt seriously bad. What if she did actually love Tyler? And I took him away from her.
Don't Trust Her 1

"I don't like you like that anymore." Tyler said. I watched him argue with his girl friend. Well, maybe his ex now. Tyler Greene was tall and had light brown hair and light brown eyes. His girl friend, Jessica Harper, was crying her little tears out. She was the most popular girl probably in the state of North Carolina. Every time she saw her brown roots beginning to grow in, she would dye her hair a sandy blonde. She wore bright green color contacts. Her real eye color was brown. When we were little, we used to be friends. People would call us sisters. Well I had more of a muddy brown color hair. It waves sometimes. And I have chocolate eyes.

"But Tyler I don't understand," She complained.

"You never understand," I said whispering to myself with my back against the wall.

"Trinity Stephens, just stay out of this you little b*tch," She screamed.

"See this is why. You are too conceded. Everything has to be your way. You are too popular to care about anyone else," Tyler said.

"Hey, I wouldn't be talking. You are the quarter back of the football team. You should be happy to date me!" Jessica screamed.

"You know what, just shut up. I found a nicer girl that actually cares about people."

"Oh really, who would be better than me?" Jessica complained.

"Oh, let's just say that she is right behind that wall listening in on our argument,"Tyler looked over to where I was hiding.

     "You would date that stalker?"

"Yeah, I asked her to come."

"You know what screw you." She pointed at Tyler. "And Trinity how about you go to hell."

"Sure I'll meet you there," I said, feeling bad after it slipped out of my mouth.
