The Last Kiss
Chapter One
♥
Our lips pressed against each other's. It wasn't a small,
cutesy kiss. This was a hardcore kiss. He stroked my cheek, and
then, shortly after we were under the sheets.
Now, I sat on the bed, in complete confusion and horror. I
managed to throw my trembling legs over the bed.
"Babe, where are you going?" he said softly.
"I have to go."
"Stay," he said, his eyes pleading.
His look was too irresistable. I stayed in the bed with him.
"Why the hurry?" Logan asked.
You see, I have a boyfriend.. and my boyfriend isn't Logan. I
cheated. I cheated on my wonderful boyfriend, Dan. And the funny
thing is, we both knew it was wrong. Logan knows about my
relationship, yet we still did it. My typical, party-girl self
just resulted in trouble.
"Logan," I said softly.
"What?" He smiled. He leaned towards me and gave me a
peck on the lips.
"I can't."
"What do you mean?" He said, his optimistic attiude had
suddenly disappeared.
"Dan."
"Aubrey, c'mon, not now."
"You can't tell anyone!"
He opened his mouth but I interrupted him.
"You just can't!" My eyes started to tear.
He rubbed my cheek and said, "I promise I
won't."
I then got up from the bed and got ready to leave. I threw on a
pair of shorts and a clean tee shirt.
Just before closing the door, was Logan's voice.
"Aubrey?"
"Yeah?"
"I promise I won't tell. But I really hope you know that
being with him is the wrong choice. We both know you have
feelings for me."
I closed the door, my head spinning with thoughts.
What did I do?
Chapter 8
Lydia
"Hi." I
smiled and sat down with the three girls who had called me
over.
I was going to sit with Bentley, but I figured I needed a
break from boys for a little.
"I'm Amber." The blonde one bounced oozing
smiles.
"This is Jo Ella." She pointed to the brunette one
with curls that were to die for.
"And that's Ruby." She said to the other
blonde one who was eying a boy
across the room.
"Ruby, he's gay." Amber said perky, yet bitchy.
"No, he made out with me." She corrected.
"Everyone makes out with you." She said
bluntly.
"I know." Ruby chirped.
"So, where ya from?" Jo Ella
asked.
"I just said that like five minutes ago." I said
shyly, I guess they didn't listen.
"Yeah well we had to discuss a major prob, but tell us everything we're all
ears." Amber snapped her gum and smiled showing off her
pearly whites.
"Maryland." I simply said and took notes on what
was on the board.
Ruby snatched my pencil away, "Notes are for
nerds." She whispered and gave me a thumbs up.
"Yeah well I need to get into college." I said
trying to get it back, but she hid it in her bag.
"No worries, we have them write our notes for
us." Amber smiled showing me the group in the front
writing a letter a second.
"Umm, okay." I said awkwardly.
"We can tell you exactly how this place works." Jo
Ella said as she pulled out her blackberry.
"You definitely want to stick with us though, or else
you'll be like a total loser." Amber giggled.
"Thanks, I actually already met some friends
though." I said quietly.
"Who?" Amber asked irritated.
"Dallas, Tucker, Bentley, Annabelle, and Ollie." I
said.
"Bentley? Like Bentley Adams in the back?" Amber
asked interested.
"Uh, yeah." I didn't think there was another
Bentley, or maybe there was.
Amber threw her head back and laughed, "Good luck honey,
he's my ex-boyfriend. I know his type."
Bentley had never mentioned an ex-girlfriend...
"Ex boyfriends are like, putting a chicken and a hen
together." Ruby said and nodded.
"Ruby, chickens and hens do go together." Jo Ella
said back.
"Oh." She chimed and continued looking at the boy
across the room.
"Damn it Ruby what did I just tell you!" Amber
asked frustrated.
"He's not gay, gosh Amber." Ruby tossed her
hair back and waved at the boy, who nervously waved back.
"See." She said and stuck her tongue out.
Suddenly, the bell rang and I gathered my things as quickly
as I could so I could escape them.
"Lydia, let us show you around." Amber said sweetly
and put a hand on my shoulder.
"Sure." I smiled and followed them out.
I wonder what will happen :P
Eww
PSATs

Temporary Home
Chapter 2
Two weeks later
“Wake up
honey.” My mom said patting me lightly as I
slept. I sat up and wiped the sleep out of my eyes and looked
at my now empty room. “This is it.” I sighed. I
packed up the air mattress that I was sleeping on since our
things were already on their way to the new house. I looked
at my cell phone 4:02 AM. Suddenly, Sienna barged through the
door in pajamas, no makeup, and her hair in a bun. I smiled
to myself. “What you didn’t think I would come
because it’s four in the morning?” She asked. I
laughed and gave her a big hug.
“Girls!
Breakfast.” My mom called from
downstairs.
We raced down the
stairs and walked over to the counter to find two burger king
bags. “Yum.” I said and started eating some
hash browns.
After breakfast a cab
pulled into the driveway to take us to the
airport.
This was it, it was
actually happening.
“You
promise you’ll visit?” I asked Sienna.
“Cross my
heart.” She smiled and hugged me again. The
guy in the cab honked. We put our carry on bags in the trunk
and hopped into the cab. I waved goodbye as Sienna and her
mom stood next to our house.
“Come on before
we miss our flight!” My mom said frantically as we
raced through the airport. Finally, we reached the last
security checkpoint and they stamped our tickets.
“Hoof.” My mom said in relief as we
walked the tunnel down to the plane. The morning sun was
still set and the sky was a dark shade.
“Attention
passengers this is your captain speaking we are about to take
off for Nashville please fasten all seatbelts.” The
captain said over the loudspeaker.
Well, goodbye
Maryland.
---
“Sweetie. Wake
up, it’s time to go.” My mom said nudging me
lightly.
I wiped the drool off
of my chin and grabbed my bags from above.
We were standing in
the airport lobby looking for a man with a sign with our name
on it.
“Excuse me,
miss?” I heard a familiar voice say.
I couldn’t
believe it. My heart was pounding out of my chest. I turned
around to see him in full uniform, with the American flag
badge on next to the nametag that said T. CLARK on his
camouflage uniform.
“Dad!” I
squealed and jumped into his arms and felt the tears rush
down my face. The last time I saw him had to be eight months
ago.
“I missed you
baby.” He breathed into my shirt.
“I missed you
too.” I said and lifted my head off of his
chest.
“You look even
prettier than I last saw you.” He smiled and put me
down.
The next thing, my
mom and dad’s eyes connected like nothing I’d
ever seen before. It’s like when they saw each other,
the whole world stopped, and only they were there in that
moment.
“Hey
Barbie.” My dad said and kissed my moms
cheek.
Only he called her
Barbie. “Let’s go home.” She smiled
and took his hand.
So far, Tennessee was
a ten.
Temporary Home
Chapter 1
“We're leaving." No seventeen -year old girl wants to hear those words escape her mother's mouth. "Leaving?" I asked not believing what I just heard. I was going to be a senior in high school; my ears must have deceived me, there was just no way we were leaving our home in sunny Maryland. “I got a job transfer and it’s closer to daddy, don’t you miss him?” She asked. When you only see your father three to four times a year, of course you miss him. “Yes.” I said looking down at my feet. “When we move to our new house we’ll get to see him so much more! I know it’s going to be hard on you but it’s the best thing for all of us.” My mom explained and put her hand on my shoulder. “When do we go?” I asked. “Two weeks.” My mom told me, “You might want to start packing.” I sighed and went up the long staircase that led to my room. “Mom!” I called from my room. “Yes, Lydia?” She asked. “Where are we moving?” I asked nervously. “Tennessee.” She called up. I fell down on my bed. Tennessee?! I ran over to my laptop and Google mapped how far away it was. Almost twelve hours. “It’s far away sweetie I know, but it’s only for a year.” My mom said trying to comfort me. “Daddy’s excited to see you.” She said trying to lighten up the mood. “I’m gonna go out for a little.” I said quietly and grabbed my keys and slipped on my flip-flops.
I pulled out my
phone from my jean pocked and dialed my best friend,
Sienna’s number.
“Hey
Lyd!” She
squealed
.
“Can you meet me at Starbucks?” I asked
quietly.
“Sure thing, you ok?” She
asked.
“No.” I cringed and hung up the
phone.
Five minutes later, I was sipping on a Frappuccino waiting
for Sienna. The bells on the door jingled and I looked at the
door, it was Sienna. She spotted me and walked over to where
I was sitting. “What is it?” She asked and sat
down. “We’re best friends, right?” I asked;
she nodded. “Through thick and thin?” I asked;
she nodded again. I sighed, “Lydia you’re scaring
me what is it?” She asked.
“I’m moving.” I said quietly.
“To Tennessee.”
A blank expression covered Sienna’s face. She hugged me
over the table. “Lydia, you can’t leave me!
You’re my best friend for goodness
sakes.” She cried not caring about the
people staring at us. “I know, I know. But there is a
bright side.” I said as I made circles on her
back with my hand. She pulled away, “What bright side?
There can’t be a bright side to my sister
moving twelve hours away and missing our senior year!”
She exclaimed. “It’s only for a
year.” I said quietly. “How long
until you leave?” She asked. “Two
weeks.” I sighed. “Well, these are
going to be the most memorable two weeks you’ll
have.”
Yes, I'm back :)
