We were all kids once. I remember everything about this site. This was my home back then. My comfort. My nostalgia. So many parts of me are scattered around this site. I remember exactly how attached I was. How this was my introduction to creative outlets, socialization, coding — all the skills and emotions this place has invoked. I am reminded of the past. This is my machine back to feel the memories in real time. I always come back here. All roads lead back here.
We were kids once. We were kids together.

I came back for nostalgia found myself unwinding footsteps of the child and angry teen versions of myself, who were lost in space - a vacuum of grief no way to communicate any other way than here, the beloved machine I'd visit daily on library computers as we had none at home. I grew to love poetry through this place in part, I wrote it myself and still write it to this day though it's far more hopeful now I've grown into my perspective. This was a journal for me in a way where I could find others with similar feelings then make connections or friends which I couldn't in the same way with interests similar to mine where I lived. I learned minor coding and a bunch of stuff to make the page interesting, then posted until mid teens. I am now 24 piecing back together the road I travelled on, so thank you Bunni for your thoughtful post and thank you Steve (platform creator) for giving us all a space to have this beautiful moment to reminisce <3
