and this is a story about.. sort of an obsession that took over my life..
So the summer of 09, we had family friends over, for vacations, we usually pick a place to go but we decided just to have a stay at home vacation at our house.
So you know, we have the TV on and crap guess what comes on?
Yes the death of MJ it was the 25th of June that I was watching TV.. either that or one of the parents saw it online.. something like that.
Well over the summer they started showing interviews and all this stuff about him.. old stuff.
Though it was new to me.
Now I was VERY interested in him, I cant even explain it.
I was so amazed by his life, and it intrigued me.
So I started my obsession from there.
Oh my goodness.. of course when it was June 25th of 09, I was just still 8 years old, but I cant even tell you what I felt.
To be that obsessed, and then realize the thing/person you are obsessed with is dead.
I admit I felt a small depression, though most people think at that age you cant feel depressed.
And I sort of believe that, but the obsession.. ugh Im telling you it was terrible.
It seemed harmless at first..
But it turned ugly.
For months and months and MONTHS.. I was obsessed with him, For months and months and MONTHS.. I was obsessed with him, I was SOOOO intrigued, Im telling you.. oh my goodness..
It grew worse and worse..
I can honestly say I really loved him
Ha, that would sound funny from someone elses point of view, but I can assure you.. it was NOT funny to me.
I think when I turned 10 I was over him.. probably way before that.
But I always kept it in my mind

My sister convinced me that MJ did molest those boys so I sort of turned against him.. Though he was always in my little imagination..

Then.. my best friend said something about him.. and I listened to one song.. ONE FREAKING SONG.. and my life has now been ruined again..
So yes, Michael Jackson is my favorite artist. < 3
