Working 4-11 is probably the worst shift ever. You miss your free time, and when you get off of work you can't really do anything but walk the board walk for an hour. I sat at Ray's for an hour before people started coming. Before I knew it, I was running back and forth with orders and plates. Being one of the only girls to work at Ray's kinda sucked. Especially when the other two girls I worked with flirted with every guy that entered Ray's. I looked at myself in the mirror during my break. My uniform was what I hated the most- My short black skirt had a black apron over it, about the same length. I had a black v-neck shirt with the Ray's Restaurant logo plastered on the front. My dark chocolate brown hair was pulled up in a pony tail, leaving some of my side bangs falling out, staying perfectly straight. My brown eyes were outlined in black eyeliner, purple eyeshadow and mascara which made my eyelashes look amazing. I walked back out of the break room, grabbing my orders. "Table 19 in the back." The cook said. I nodded, then walked to the back. I didn't look at anyone at the table. Once I did, I almost dropped my plates. My legs went wobbly, and my body filled with tingles. I didn't think I'd react like this, ever. This day had been horrible. I figured everyone forgot it was my birthday, not that I wanted people to make a big deal about it. And now, on my birthday, sitting infront of me, was One Direction. I composed myself, quickly. "Who ordered the steak?" I asked, smiling. I was litterally freaking out inside. "I did." Zayn Malik raised his hand. I leaned over and placed the plate infront of him. I handed the rest of the food out, realizing that they were all watching me. "Well, I'm Ash. Just call for me if you need anything else." They all smiled, and I turned to walk away. I walked behind the bar area, grabbing my boss. "Travis! You didn't tell me!" I screeched, quietly. "About 1D? I announced it to the staff.. OH!  You were on break." I rolled my eyes. "Treat them normally." He scloded. I nodded. "Oh, Ash?" I looked at him. "Happy birthday, kiddo." I gave him a thumbs up. I stood at the cash register when Savannah came in with all my other friends, even Garrett. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASH!" They all yelled. I felt my face turn bright red as I turned to look around Ray's. One Direction was in the back, all laughing and smiling, then looking at me. ME. I led my friends to a big booth. "Travis is your server tonight. I'll be off at 11." I smiled at them. They would stay til about 9, then go to the boarwalk til 12. I moved my way back over to all my tables. I stopped at One Direction's table, nearly dying inside of excitment, again. Harry smiled when he saw me. I melted right there, pretty sure I was a puddle of mush. "How is everything?" I asked. They all nodded. "So, uhm, my best friend is here.. and she's a huge fan.. do you think it'd be a bother-" Louis cut me off. "We'd love to." I smiled greatfully. "Thank you sososo much." I turned to go get Savannah. "Hey, Ash?" I turned to face the table. Harry smiled at me. "Happy birthday." He said, then winked.
