I stopped there; right in my tracks. He took a few more steps then stopped and turned and looked at me. "What the hell are you doing? Let's go!!" "What do you mean by 'i do care' ?" I looked over my shoulder, tears filled my eyes… I turned back to look forward and Blake was right in front of me as i ran into him… He didn't ask what was wrong he just wrapped his arms around me holding me tightly as tears streamed down my face… "Shhh baby it's okay…" he said softly he stroked my hair and rubbed my back softly, "Shhh sweetheart whatever it is it's gunna be okay…I'm right here to protect you from anything…it's all gunna be okay hunnie…" He put his hand under my chin tilting my head up to him. He smiled and wiped my tears away. At this point Caleb was standing right behind me; but Blake acted like he wasn't even there. Blake looked me in the eyes "Baby you're beautiful, and I will protect you from anything that I possibly can" I slightly smiled as he wiped away the rest of my tears. Looking me in the eyes he leaned in and kissed my lips softly. "You don't wanna go to school do you?" He asked me. I shook my head; "Not particularly…" I said to him. He wrapped one arm around my shoulder and lead me back towards the house. "Hey where do you 2 think you're going??" Caleb shouted to us. Blake stopped for a minute; walked over to Caleb. I don't know what he said but Caleb turned around and walked straight to school. Blake walked back over to me, putting his arm back around me, and he led me back to his house. We went inside and he brought my up to his room, he laid down on his bed and pulled me on next to him. I laid there in his arms and he held my waist. His chest was against my back as he held me closely. Blake kissed my neck softly and rested his head against mine. "I love you so much baby" He whispered in my ear. I smiled and whispered back, "I love you too" I turned my head up to him and he kissed me softly. "Just go to sleep baby, you're right here in my arms, I'll protect you no matter what" He said as I slowly fell asleep with a slight smile on my face as his arms were wrapped around me. Within 5 minutes his mom had pulled in the drive way and they were knocking at the door. "Come innnn!!" I yelled down to them; i heard the door open then close as I could hear both Blake and his mothers footsteps comming up the wooden staircase. "Babbbbyyyy" I heard him call to me; I couldn't help but smile when I heard his voice. "Close your eyes" I said to both Blake and his mother as Katie and I smiled at each other. They both had their eyes closed as Katie and I walked out of my bedroom to see them. I stood right infront of Blake and kissed his lips softly, "Open up" I said to both of them. They both opened their eyes and Blake immediatly wrapped his arms around my waist and spun me in a circle in his arms. "You look beautiful baby" He said and I couldn't help but smile at Katie and mouth the words "Thank you" Because she's the one who had helped me look this good in the first place. I smiled at Blake then asked Katie if her boyfriend Josh was coming over? She nodded as she checked her phone and said that he'd be there in about 5 minutes. 5 minutes past by and there was a knock at the door. Katie ran down the stairs in her dress as Josh came and opened the door wrapping his arms around Kaite. I looked at Blake he smiled and kissed me. Josh and Blake were best friends as were Katie and I; so it was perfect for us to be there all together. Blake's mother had us all line up on the stairs and took our pictures, as well as taking pictures of just Blake and I, and just Katie and Josh. Josh had his lisence, so he was the one taking us all there, and back home. We got in the car and headed to the school. I wasn't really into the whole dressing up thing, but i did it for Blake. We walked into the school, and everyone looked amazing. It made me feel like i was wearing sweats and a hoodie next to her. "Come on Jane!" Katie yelled, as she dragged me into the gym. Josh and Blake followed behind us, both grinning. A slow song came on and Blake wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped mine around his neck and we started dancing. "I love you." He whispered. "I love you too." I smiled, as his lips softly brushed against mine. I could've stayed in that moment forever. Not only was Blake my boyfriend, but he was my best friend. He knew everything and anything there was to know about me. After prom was over, Josh drove us all home. I went into my room and threw my shoes on the floor and changed into some pajamas, it felt so good to be out of that stuff. I went into the bathroom and washed all the makeup off my face, and quickly washed my hair. I layed down in bed and fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow. "Kelsey?" I called. She wasn't quite awake yet. Suddenly, doctors came rushing in, telling me I had to wait outside. I did, for a few hours. One of the doctors finally came out saying, "I understand that you're Kelsey's friend, Aaron?" "Yes," I whispered. He bit his lip. "She woke up, she's fine, but I'm afraid she has long term memory loss." "Are you serious?" I almost shouted. "I'm afraid so." I didn't meet his gaze. I couldn't. I wasn't going to say anything, so he spoke again. "You can go see her if you want, but she doesn't remember anything, not even her mom." I walked in, trembling in horror. I saw her. She looked helpless as she slept. I waited a few hours, until I saw her eyes opening gently again. I expected doctors to run in, rushing me out. Instead, she looked me straight in the eyes, and whispered, "I don't know you, but I like your eyes."
