I think that mental illnesses (ie: depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc..)
aren't taken seriously because people fake them to be 'cool' no, ok, no. Hearing things and seeing things isn't cool. Only being able to feel extreme emotions isn't cool. Not being able to leave your house most of the time isn't cool. It's terrible, and if you fake any illness then you're a fùcking terrible human being.

or don't have certain grades,
or don't have this or that
and will literally cut themselves open.

People are terriified of being judged
because they don't look like the
person on the cover of that magazine,
So maybe if we showed people
that it's okay to be who they are,
instead of just saying,
“Don't be afraid to be you”
“As long as your confident it doesn't matter”
“Be yourself, everyone else is taken”

then maybe there will
be less people
with slashes on their wrists
and notes saying
“I'm sorry I wasn't good enough”
